In the my last post before this article, I have been explained one of javanese spiritualism based on Islam spiritualism, what are the different of javanese spiritualism and Arabic Islam spiritualism, the different are javanese (moslem javanese) more focus on sesirih or in the english term is fasting or controling self appetite for some kind food, also javanese spiritualism are more focus on the deepest of heart (telenging rahsa). The arabic moslem spiritualism right now are focuses on syariat level and tarekat level, the syariat of they doing is more indeed make of doing god command in holy book without argue and hesitate or at least they are obey with their theologians. In the other place on Arabic are more focus on tarekat level, they are pronouncing prayer word or sentence with many times, they are not focused on fasting like javanese spiritualism. The most of javanese sesirih or fasting are unique and just only able in javanese culture or Indonesian culture, the sesirih or laku are:

ngrowot
ngrowot is just only eating food from underground like potatoes and carrot, ngrowot only drink water without coffee, tea, juice and many color or taste water.

pati geni
pati geni is just eating uncooked food and uncooked water, the pati geni doer also living in close room without sunlight. Like it name, pati geni is not allowed for attached by sunlight directly or not directly.

ngebleng
ngebleng is not allowed for eating all food and drink all water, ngebleng is pure fasting 24 hour.

mutih
mutih is just only allowed eating white rice and drink white water, a version of mutih is just allowing eating white rice with hand clench size and drink water only one glass at 00.00 o'clock.

ngalong
ngalong is like a bat, the ngalong doer are living at tree and their legs are hang up on limb with head at down positioning, this laku or sesirih is very difficult, the doer are allowing eating and drinking only food or water that coming in their mouth, birds and insects are usually droping its.

ngidang
ngidang is acting like deer, the doer are following deer's group and eat or drink like deer too.

topo pendem
topo pendem is living at under ground by the way living life buried, this laku is the most difficult laku in javanese spiritualism.

There are still a lot of laku that I can not explained here, for javanese people laku are have purpose for getting magic power or kanoman, kanoman is magic power that users have great physics power for attacking enemy or self defender, but the most important of laku is getting kasepuhan, kasepuhan is understand truly of universe harmony and have actually connection of god and human, kasepuhan is focusing the deepest of heart, kasepuhan is not for attacking enemy or self defender, but with kasepuhan, the power of kanoman are can more powerful because the true owner of all power is god.

Who don’t recognize Kanjeng Ratu Kidul? Everyone who living on Java island sure know her, but who know the philosophy of Kanjeng Ratu Kidul legendary? Everyone who know her name very little know it. Kanjeng Ratu Kidul or in the English name is “south ocean queen” has been legendary from hundreds years ago, she is very beautiful queen who living at underwater in south ocean.

Allegedly in Pajajaran Kingdom at west java, the king Prabu Siliwangi has a daughter and her name is Suwidhi, Suwidhi has a disease by black magic that her skin become abscess and bad, then she go to south ocean and pray to god, in the half of her pray, she listen god whisper that god have instruction to her in order jump in to ocean and become south ocean queen. That’s summary of the story about her, who knows the correctness about the story? In the other story, Panembahan Senopati the first king Mataram kingdom in central java has meditation on Cepuri Parangkusumo at Parangkusumo beach, he use his supernatural power to defeat Kanjeng Ratu Kidul power and his try successfully. Kanjeng Ratu Kidul coming and meet him, she request to Panembahan Senopati in order stopping his meditation, because his meditation make her kingdom hot and suffering, for exchange of her request, she will become Panembahan Senopati wife and her army will protect Panembahan Senopati Kingdom. Indeed Panembahan Senopati have other wish with her, he want her army help his army to defeat Alas (forest) Menthaok spirits, but before that, he and his new wife will do honey moon at Kanjeng Ratu Kidul palace in underwater, in the spirit world, south ocean underwater is a big kingdom and have very luxurious palace, remember that Kanjeng Ratu Kidul is a spirit human. After he doing honey moon, he get out from the underwater by walking on water, when he come to land, his master Sunan Kalijaga has waiting him, Sunan Kalijaga give advice to Panembahan Senopati in order don’t be arrogant, Panembahan Senopati immediately ask forgive to his master and god.

Cepuri Parangkusumo

Kanjeng ratu Kidul are different with Nyi Roro Kidul, Nyi Roro Kidul is Kanjeng Ratu Kidul vice. There are 3 name with last name “kidul”, they are Kanjeng Ratu Kidul, Nyi Roro Kidul and Mbok Roro Kidul, Mbok Roro Kidul is Kanjeng Ratu Kidul attendant. If three of them are join together then they are become super power spirit. Nyi Roro Kidul often make visible herself to human, because she is a black magic master of javanesse sorcerer, she also have bad characteristic, on the other side Kanjeng Ratu Kidul have a good characteristic and she does not like make visible herself to human and also does not like disturbing human life. Kanjeng Ratu Kidul become wife of Mataram kings such as Hamengkubuwono dynasty and Pakubuwono Dynasty in order protect Panembahan Senopati heredity. Kanjeng Ratu Kidul mythology was created by Panembahan Senopati in order that his people and his heredity knows the path of life is understanding universe, universe are be symbolized by Ratu or queen, why? Because universe are like female, universe have “uterus” that can make planet and star is born. Kidul is south because world is divide by south and north, south is represent spiritual and north is represent body and technology. Panembahan senopati marrying and copulate Kanjeng Ratu Kidul has meaning that in order more nearest with god must understand universe path and philosophic by the way “copulate” universe, without understanding it, then impossible become god beloved. If you understand universe philosophic then you can make balance, not destroying them and seeing the beautiful universe in harmony, that’s very wise.

Kanjeng Ratu Kidul legendary is becoming people story from a generation to next generation, most people assuming that Kanjeng Ratu Kidul is same with Nyi Roro Kidul, but I don’t care it. The most important for me is the philosophic about the legendary and not only the mythology, just only knowing mythology without philosophic is not to make problem solving.

But Yogyakarta people forgot that in other side, his Majesty is an ordinary human being who has dream, ambition and hope. This condition can be understand because the most Yogyakarta people very respect and love to their king or soultan. The main his dream and hope is:

His Majesty indeed had been educated by his father Sri Sultan hamengkubuwono 9^th in order that always protect and care for people. What the meaning of throne if make people suffering and poor?. The throne must have great useful for people and make them happiness and giving peacefulness, the essence of throne for people is able in Serat Sabdotomo athoring by his ancestor and become one of manual book for javanesse kings, his Majesty very remember it.

Life is serving for god and people

I understand that his statement of already become Indonesia next president is realization of life is serving for god and people, not only living on Yogyakarta but all around Indonesia. Every king or president all around the world should to do it, not only just for glory, money, and authority. For knowledge, his Majesty Sri Sultan hamengkubuwono 10^th has original name is Herjuno Darpito and his father Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono 9th original name is Dorojatun. If his Majesty become the next Indonesia President then much better use his original name Herjuno Darpito as President, that’s my opinion, I also hope that his Majesty more pronounced if become president, because become Indonesian President is very difficult and have very big problem and great responsibility moreover than US president.

The anniversary 252 years of Yogyakarta at 7 october, I try to post some quality topics of spiritualism and philosophy, it's too late but more better than not posting something about Yogyakarta, of course that’s not like the most posting of this blog are “junk’ post about celebrity, sexuality, comedy, etc. I try to do something are useful for other people. If we know a knowledge then do it.

When we visiting Yogyakarta, we found a famous monument at zero kilometer, the name of the monument is Golong Gilig, but Yogyakarta people usually call it ‘tugu’, this tugu was building by the 2^nd Soultan, the most of Indonesian people especially at Yogyakarta believe that Merapi Mountain, tugu, soultan palace and south ocean are one line or linear, but they are wrong. The fact is the palace and tugu are linear with a village near Merapi mountain by the name is Gemawang or gemawan in the north direction, the both of these I don’t know what is the true name. with the south direction is linear with Panggung Krapyak and Watu Gilang, the both place will be explain to the next episode of this post.

The Sultan Hamengkubuwono 10th

What the function of Tugu, I try to explain it, When Soultan with the name is Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono 2^nd and his heredity has a big problem, then he called his vice and all of his Tumenggung and Senopati to discuss the problem. When they discussing the problem then Soultan give instruction to pray for God and will meeting again as soon as if they finishing their pray. Soultan and his subordinates pray by the way Tahajjud pray as Islamic religion, Monday Thursday ‘puasa’, Pati geni ‘puasa’ and also mutih ‘puasa’ as javanesse heritage, Puasa is the time not eating. When their pray is finished, Soultan immediately meet with his subordinates and discussing the problem again. Soultan instruction of his subordinates to tell their result of the pray and comparing of his own result of the pray. Before Soultan decide a policy, he sit down in ‘Bangsal mangun tur tangkil’, like the house in the house. Soultan will try seeing the tugu from it with the distance about 3 kilometers. If he see tugu clear and obvious then he have “god eye” by the meaning is he see like god, because he see by heart not eyes, this indication that he and his subordinates pray are accepted by god. If he see tugu not obvious then his pray rejected or not yet accepted by god, then Soultan and his subordinates will pray again more seriously. That’s so wise decision right?
